'Reform' Art Exhibition

'Reform' is an amazing new art exhibition opening at Burslem School of Art on Wednesday 9th January 2008. The art has been produced completely from waste materials by Brighter Futures artists. The artists were visited by Clare Roberts, facilities co-ordinator, and given information about the effects of waste and its disposal on the environment. The art work was then produced during workshops, with support and advice from Zoë Best, arts co-ordinator for Brighter Futures.  The exhibition formed part of Brighter Futures 'energy week' that took place throughout the whole organisation to promote the idea of 'reform, rethink, reduce, recycle' to all staff and customers of Brighter Futures.

Zoë Best, arts co-ordinator says, 'As an organisation Brighter Futures is committed to being a sustainable company. We have therefore used company waste alongside household waste to create pieces of art to illustrate in a creative way how important it is to consider the amount of waste we produce and to look at the steps we can take to make a difference to the environment.'

Entry to the exhibition is free and it is open 9am - 8pm Monday - Thursday, and 9am - 4pm Fridays, closed weekends. Burslem School of Art is in Queen St., Burslem, S-O-T
