It is easy to do something about climate change. People from Stoke on Trent are taking action by doing the One Tonne Challenge. To join in, read the challenges select one or two that you do not already do and have a go at them.
□ I will only fill my kettle with the amount of water I am going to use and save 20kg CO2 per year
□ I will never leave my TV on standby and save 15kg CO2 per year
□ I will install 3 energy efficient light bulbs to save £25 off my fuel bill and 100kg CO2 per year
□ I will share a lift or use alternative transport to my car once a week to save £145 and 300kg of CO2 over a year
□ I will get cavity wall insulation in my home to save £145 off my energy bill and 1000kg of CO2 per year
□ I will buy my national grid electricity from a renewable source and save 2000kg of CO2 a year at a cost of only £5 extra a month
To help you remember your challenges you can print off a copy of the One Tonne Challenge form and pin it up on your fridge.
By taking these actions you can make a difference and stop climate change.
